What do we know about Baptism?

We have been learning about Baptism. We know the baby wears white clothes.
We know that Father David asks the parents what Christian name they have given their baby. We know our names are very important to us when we are welcomed into God's family.
We decorated our Christian names.
The holy water is kept in the font.
Father David uses a special jug to help him.
Father David puts a special oil called Chrism on the baby. He makes the sign of the cross on the baby's head. We drew the font, the holy water, the oil, Father David and the baby's family.
We wrote about what happened at our Baptism.
We looked at the photos we brought into school.
We were learning that Jesus is the light of the world and we thought of ways we can be like Jesus and show our love.We can show our love by being kind and helping our Mums and Dads.
We have been learning about Jesus' Baptism.

We have learnt lots about Baptism!

Niall, has enjoyed learning all about baptism, and its meaning, and how Father David pours holy water on your head and makes the sign of the cross on your head during baptism.

it was interesting to learn about baptism because I was too little to remember what happened when I was baptised.
