RT's Easter Liturgy

RYK visited RT's class today. RT told them all about what we celebrate at Easter. We all loved our Easter eggs but we talked about why we have eggs.

We talked about going to Church over Easter and what happened whilst we were there.

We looked at the Easter Garden. We talked about sort of things would go in your garden if you made one.

We talked about the 3 crosses. The flowers are a sign of life.

Can you see the tomb in the garden?

Can you see Jesus in the garden?

Can you see any eggs hidden in the garden?

Can you see a robin in the garden?

We talked about the Font. We talked about how the Paschal candle was blessed on Easter Saturday and then it was put in the Font and the water was blessed.

We talked about why we have a chocolate egg and not a chocolate cross or a chocolate triangle. We talked about putting the information together like a jigsaw puzzle and working out the answer. We decided that new chicks come out of eggs and they are alive. We celebrate Jesus being alive at Easter.

We looked at other signs of new life.

We learnt how to make a Paschal Candle.
