Today is Ash Wednesday.
It is the beginning of Lent.
We are taking part in a special Liturgy where we will learn about Lent, sing songs about Jesus and say prayers.
Later on we will receive ashes on our foreheads. These will be in the shape of a cross. 
In our classrooms we have noticed some changes... 
We have made a Lenten Promise.
During Lent we are going to try and challenge ourselves with our promise to help us be like Jesus. He is our shining light and He guides us. 
We have all been given a 'Walk With Me' Calendar. We need to look at our calendar each day to see what we need to do. 
Today we will be exploring our calendar in our Liturgy.
