Week beginning 20/10/14

RE
We are going to talk about the different ways we are special and that we are special because God has given us lots of gifts. We will discuss presents and our special gifts eg. What are we good at?
We will bring our present to the carpet and talk to a talk partner about the gifts that God has given us.
We will celebrate in a prayer service, lighting a candle, to thank God our Father for our gifts and the gifts He has given others. We will read a story from the Bible and talk about the Wednesday Word.

Communication, language and literacy
We will read story of “Oliver’s Vegetables” – discuss, ask and answer questions about the story / retell the story verbally focussing on the story order.
We will play a play a game of silly soup – identifying objects by their initial sound. Focusing on letters s and j.
We will continue to sing Nursery rhymes focussing on the rhyming word we can hear and think of new words that rhyme.
