RE
We will talk about our family. Who is in our family? Who do we love? Who
do we live with? Who else is in our family? We will discuss the activities and
places we go with our family.
We will talk about what we do at home before we come to school. Who has
helped us get ready?
How do people in our family show love and care to us and each other?
As we do week, we discuss the Wednesday Word
and talk about God’s special book the Bible.
Communication, language and literacy
During Circle
time we will speak in full sentences about something we did the half term
holiday. Adults will model speaking in full sentences and intervening to
support when necessary.
Children write
a sentence about what they did during their half term holiday – saying their
sentence, hearing and writing sounds in words.
Mathematics
Count with conkers, adult to
reinforce previous learning regarding counting strategies – touch count, lining
up objects and reminders about giving each object one number. We will use the
language of more or less by adding and taking
away 1 or 2 conkers and recounting to check the new total.
We will focus on a number and
shape every day.
