We will retell the Easter story and talk
about how Jesus’ friends felt when they knew He had risen.We are going to make our own Easter Candle, talk about the symbols on it and how Jesus like a light that guides us.
We are going to celebrate how special Mary, Jesus’ mother, is. We will prepare for and participate in a school May procession.
Communication, language and literacy
Farmer Duck is our focus story this week.
We will retell and write about the story – writing independently.We will continue to hear, say and write sounds in words and learn to write our “tricky words”.
Mathematics
We will be counting on and back to add and
take away from a given number. We will also be halving and sharing sets of
objects and flowers we have made!
Physical Development
We will continue to develop our ball skills
(throwing, catching, aiming), our fitness skills and talk about how important
it is to stay fit and healthy!
Understanding the world
We will talk about how people care for us
and help us in our community. We will use the computer keyboard to write captions and sentences about our farm visit.
Expressive arts and design
Our role play area is now a vets! We will
paint and collage pictures of the farm, animals, people who help us - and our own
ideas and interests.
