RE

Will we continue to explore what it means to pray and discuss the different ways we can talk to God. We will work together to prepare a class prayer service and share our prayers .We will prepare for Reception/KS1 Mass on 30^th June.

RT ‘s assembly is this week.

 

 

Communication, language and literacy

RT will talk and write about their assembly and RKQ will talk and write about “The Pig in the pond”. We will use our phonic and writing skills to write independently. We will also un jumble sentences looking at how spaces, capital letters and full stops are used.

We will hear, read and write sounds in words – revising previous sounds and focusing on th, ng and ai.

 

Mathematics

We will use cubes to add and subtract and record our problems. We use all the mathematical vocabulary we know to describe what we are doing.

Using money we will buy items and add by counting on.

 

Physical Development

We will practise races for Sports Days – obstacle, running and egg and spoon. We will continue to develop our large and small ball skills and our Fit for Schools activities.

 

Understanding the world/Expressive arts and design.

We will sort animals into sets depending on the environment they live in e.g. hot/cold, water/air.

We will discuss the festivals of Eid and Ramadan and watch a film about how families celebrate these special occasions.

We will name and sort different materials into sets and experiment with magnets.

The World Cup – we will talk about, observe and make the different flags from the countries taking part.

We will continue to design and make animal masks and mix different colours together.
